Amy Bridges is an accomplished musical theatre performer, honing her craft at London’s esteemed Musical Theatre Academy (The MTA) before graduating in 2015. With a CV that consists of: Cool Rider in the West End, Lead Vocalist/Show Captain for Viking Cruises, Rose Willis/Understudy Cilla in the U.K/Number 1 tour of Cilla the musical and most recently Jane Seymour/Show Captain in the hit musical SIX for Norwegian Breakaway, Amy’s talent knows no bounds.
Her journey began under the mentorship of our own Marvin Thomas, whose encouragement led her to shine at just 15 years old as Killer Queen in the South Wales Schools performance of We Will Rock You. Fuelled by her passion, Amy pursued training at Bridgend College, excelling under the guidance of our Martyn Hearn and achieving a remarkable D*D*D* in BTEC Performing Arts before securing her place at the prestigious MTA.
During her training, Amy dazzled audiences with her performances as Salathiel Trenannigan in Ting Tang Mine and Lauren Smith in Just the Ticket. Her excellence was further recognized when she was handpicked by the renowned Ria Jones to represent her college in the esteemed Stephen Sondheim Student Performer of the Year competition, where she captivated audiences in the final on the Garrick stage in the West End.
As a proud alumna of The LMT’s inaugural class, Amy now returns as a dedicated teacher and choreographer at the LMT Academy, describing it as “coming home.” She finds profound joy in nurturing the talents of the next generation, eagerly anticipating the bright futures that lie ahead for the students.
