Why Choose LMT Academy?

LMT Academy combines professional performing arts expertise with a strong foundation in education, inclusion and child development.

Established in 2009, our award-winning Academy is led by an experienced, qualified headteacher and works with qualified teachers and performing arts professionals.

We understand that children learn differently, and our workshops are designed to be engaging, adaptable and accessible.

Our approach supports:

  • Confidence, self-esteem and self-expression
  • Communication, oracy and presentation skills
  • Creativity, imagination and problem-solving
  • Teamwork, collaboration and positive relationships
  • Emotional wellbeing and a sense of belonging
  • Inclusive participation for learners with additional learning needs

We don’t believe every child needs to become a performer. We believe every child can benefit from the performing arts.

Experience You Can Trust

Supporting Creative Learning in Specialist Education

In 2025, LMT Academy delivered a commissioned four-week musical theatre programme at a specialist education setting in Rhondda Cynon Taf.

The programme was adapted for two pupil groups and combined drama, music and movement with preparation for a school performance.

Working collaboratively with school staff, we tailored activities to pupils’ different needs and abilities.

Following the programme, the school shared positive feedback about the experience for both pupils and staff and expressed interest in future collaboration.

This experience continues to inform our inclusive approach to school-based performing arts provision.

Welsh-Medium, English-Medium and Bilingual Provision

Celfyddydau Mynegiannol i Ysgolion

We recognise the importance of the Welsh language, Welsh culture and bilingual learning.

Our programmes can be developed for English-medium, Welsh-medium and bilingual school settings.

Welsh-medium and bilingual delivery are subject to the availability of practitioners with the appropriate language skills.

We are also happy to explore projects celebrating Welsh heritage, storytelling, music and culture.

Bespoke School Projects

Looking for something different?

We can work with schools to explore:

  • Christmas productions and end-of-year performances
  • Musical theatre projects
  • Expressive arts enrichment days
  • Creative transition programmes
  • Confidence-building and communication workshops
  • Staff professional learning in using drama and creative activities
  • School celebration events and performance projects
  • Longer-term creative partnerships

Tell us what your school wants to achieve, and we can develop a tailored proposal.
